Thank you all for your patience with us getting caught up. We moved our piercing shop a few months ago and got very behind with orders. I am happy to say that we are almost all caught up and ready to take some new jobs. I am also happy to say that orders will be completed within one month of ordering.
I'll be uploading a TON of new photos to the portfolio section over the next couple days.

After much debate on the subject we have decided to no longer wholesale our jewelry. Being that it's only Kate and I making the jewelry, there are only so many orders we can take. Unless we allow our wait times to go out even further, we had to make a decision. So we have decided our time and heart would be better spent making things for individual collectors only.

One of things that we feel makes our jewelry so special, is the fact that we know who we're making it for. This allows us to really put a lot of energy into that specific piece. Making jewelry that doesn't already have a home is starting to become more of a job. This is not how we want to look at Relic. We will always strive to make the best one of a kind pieces we can and therefore, at the expense of large wholesale orders.

For those of you that frequent our site, you've no doubt noticed the spectacular set of Condor Agates on the home page. We have recently acquired a large quantity of these beauties. The vivid colors and banding in these pieces are unlike anything i have ever seen. Local clients will be able to view this collection in person. We had some issues come up here at home that will require our presence around the time of the APP conference in Las Vegas. We were scheduled to have a booth and also to be teaching a class about stone jewelry. We are very disappointed that we will not be attending and will miss seeing you all dearly.

Life has been good around the Rancho lately. I've been snowboarding a lot again. Something I hadn't done for about five years. I forgot how much I love doing it. On rocks, we got some pretty rockin (no pun intended) Moonstone. Small pieces we'll be able to use for faceted pieces and slinkees. If there is any particular stones you guys would like to see more of please feel free to let us know. We're always buying rocks so we're happy to keep our eyes open for what you would like to see.

Did I really just say that? wow...

2008 was such a great year. We just got back from snowboarding in Colorado. We had some great weather and a really relaxing time. We made it back home safely and are excited about the coming year. Expect to see us at the APP conference in May where we will be teaching a class on Modern Applications of Stone Jewelry. as some of you may have noticed, i have deleted my accounts on the social networking sites that i've frequented for the last few years. my goal is to really focus my energy and attention to the life and people in front of me every day. i do miss being up on everybody's business but i don't miss the distraction. i will always be reachable through this site and at 5point. as always, please send photos of how the jewelry you receive looks on you. the finishing touch to our/your jewelry is how much better you make it look. we really love seeing it in completion. happy holidays.

things are going really well lately. i finished remodeling the workshop and we have a lot more room to spread out now.

in rough news. we bought some REALLY choice fluorite last weekend. also a handful of new Argentinian Geodes. We should have most of it uploaded within the week.

I made some changes today to the layout of the site. I get restless with it easily and never seem to be satisfied. I guess that's just how we roll. On that note I posted some new Faceted styles Kate came up with. They're such a great way to dress up a smaller plug and make it a little more fun for all you tiny eared folks :)

We are back from our adventures and have a LOT of new stuff to show. While we were out we came across a very large piece of lapis. I haven't weighed it but i'm guessing it at 2 lbs. It was way out of our price range but with how rare that stuff is getting I couldn't pass it up. It's RICH blue with almost NO calcite. We have 4-5 different varieties of mookaite on the way as well as some HIGHLY orbicular Ocean Jasper. I will post photos of those as soon as they are ready. Expect to see them in a couple weeks.
